The submission guidelines state that you must include source, so if you are wondering how someone did something, you could always have a look and implement it yourself.

Still, it would be nice if more people released their code under FOSS licenses to increase awareness. Particularly since I have found that LD is in general unfriendly to Linux (few games will work with it) and perhaps by association unfriendly to FOSS (well, only two games got a FOSS license, right?).

The PyWeek rules, on the other hand, somewhat recommend using a FOSS license for your code submission, but it seems a lot of games get a FOSS license and a week long competition has more potential for continuing work. At least, my team has sworn every time that we would continue to extend our game and make FOSS releases. ;)

The latest PyWeek is about to end, by the way.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11038953854513583575noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28735168.post-55346758154694664982009-04-27T08:38:00.000+01:002009-04-27T08:38:00.000+01:00You forgot to mention MirthKit under gamemakers :-...You forgot to mention MirthKit under gamemakers :-)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
