The binary version of Gondola doesn't works for me.
First it failed at start complaining about AVbin missing, so I downloaded it from Google Code and it worked, but then I just couldn't see anything more than a black screen, so I downloaded the Python source and it works perfect xP.
I knew it from the beginning, a Python program precompiled? That couldn't be good.
So downlaod the sources that the work good, and it's a really pleasant game, quite hard to learn.

Garden of Coloured Lights works on Linux, OS X, gp2x and probably more and it's now released under GPL: http://garden.sourceforge.net/
I had (almost) no problems compiling it and i have almost never compiled a program before.

The source (older version) is availible on the depot too and it looks like the source of White Butterfly also is there, so I see no reason why they should only work on windows. allegro is cross platform so all games written with it should compile on linux too.

I think Garden of Coloured Lights is a really good shoot 'em up, I like it a lot, but it's really hard.
